A 360 virtual tour for Gli Amici in Antwerp

Antwerp takes its restaurants seriously, and so do its diners — most tables are researched online before they are booked. In 2018, 360virtualtour.net produced a 360 virtual tour for Gli Amici, a restaurant in Antwerp, and published it on Google Street View, so guests can look around the dining room directly from Google Maps before they reserve.

The project is part of our long-running work in Belgium, where we serve hospitality clients from our base in Amsterdam — one of three countries, alongside the Netherlands and Türkiye, where our 52-project portfolio has grown since 2004.

Scope of the shoot

We photographed the restaurant as a connected series of panoramic scenes covering the guest's route through the venue: the entrance, the bar area and the dining room with its tables and seating corners. The walkthrough was structured so an online visitor can drift through the room the way a guest would on a first visit — pausing wherever the atmosphere invites a closer look.

Restaurant interiors live or die on their lighting, and evening warmth against window daylight is the classic challenge. We shot with HDR bracketing to hold both ends of that range, and timed the session outside service hours so the room could be captured at its best without touching the day's operations.
