A furniture fair stand costs weeks of design, logistics and budget — and then the fair ends, the hall empties and the stand is dismantled. For Modef 2019, the furniture fair in Inegol, Allegro Mobilya chose to keep its stand alive: 360virtualtour.net produced a 360 virtual tour of the exhibition space, so the collection could be revisited online long after the fair closed its doors.

Inegol is one of Türkiye's furniture capitals, and Modef is where the region's manufacturers present their new season collections to dealers and buyers. Competition for attention on the fairground is intense, and the follow-up after the fair matters just as much as the days on site.

Scope of the shoot

We photographed the stand as a connected series of panoramic scenes covering the full exhibition layout: the seating groups, dining sets and display arrangements as they were presented to visitors during the fair. Camera positions were chosen to mirror the natural walking route through the stand, so an online visitor experiences the collection the way a fair visitor would.

Fairground lighting is demanding — mixed spotlights, dark ceilings and reflective surfaces in the same frame. HDR capture let us hold detail across that whole range without flattening the atmosphere the stand designers had created.
